Juice Box Rigging

A juice box and its straw rigged in Maya 2014. Very useful in advertising to attract young group age when you bring alive the juice box. Below you can find several tests done on the product and refer to the outliner and attribute for more information about the controls precisely.

Bending the juice box is done using Set Driven keys. Controlled by a box curved, it can bend left and right. When axis values are set to zero, it gets back to its original proportion.

Jiggle has been applied to the straw. When juice box is animated for eg moving from left to right at a certain speed, as it stops the straw will shake almost on the top as a result of the friction force.

Limit informations has been provided to the control box of the juice box which can twist by rotating, bend by translating values of Y and stretch and squash on values of Translate X.

Sipping action has been added to the straw. - a bulge which can move along the straw path. Even if the product is scaled, the ratio will be maintained.

Juice box is squashed. See on the right in attributes.

Here product is stretched, twisted and squashed at the same time using the box control.

Juice box has been scaled up and moved away from the 0 axis. With the master control you can resize and move away and rotate in any direction the juice box while the juice box and its straw are locked.

Ball Rigging

Rigging a ball in Autodesk Maya 2014. stretching and squashing of the ball is controlled using a separate control arrow shape and the polygon ball is locked and a ball world control(curve) to re-align the position of the ball and its assigned controls.

Limit information has been provided for the arrow control slider which can move only along the Y-axis till the ball gets either fully stretched or squashed. After ball is fully stretched or squashed the arrow stops moving.

The ball has been fully squashed and arrow stopped moving further down.
In the attribute editor it can be noted SET DRIVEN KEY has been used to match Translate Y of the arrow with the deformer squash Factor (highlighted in red) of the ball.
The Deformer squash handle has been hidden(see in outliner)
Low bound has been set to zero to hide low end of the deformer and to prevent ball from squashing below 0 value of the axis.

Ball gets fully stretched and arrow stops moving as soon as Translate Y reaches 12 and the Factor goes to 1.5 (see in the channel box)
